Pocket Monsters
For our second salon, we share the jewelry and gadgets we carry with us for different occasions. We use these objects to inform the creation of new amulets for ourselves from a shared supply of precious materials.
2020 Q2
Two months into the pandemic we were only meeting through screens, and we were feeling very disembodied. Even though we couldn’t host a new version of the salon, we revisited our Pocket Monsters theme as planned. Ben K. Voss’ series Radiant Slug was particularly resonant, so we wrote a new poem to accompany the images: Slug Love Rising.
