How the albatross o’er the ship does fly

Dare the mariners and sail the fury

You can but in defiance shoot at sky

How can you at the mercy of the sea

Dare to sharpen your tongue against the swell

You are mist off her lips so disagree

How the course is the course and all is well

Dare the mistake that we need only we

You so boldly into the lightning yell

How am I here, it is across the sea

Dare the albatross its far nest to leave

You will wear me ‘round your neck you will see

How the voices will silently deceive

Dare to desperate and deathly ways stare

You who obtusely shot the bird will grieve

How turned you this good omen of the air

Dare an explanation bowmen of crew

You rotting dead on the decks need not care

How this ghost ship drifts the silent seas through

Dare tell us who made this a ship of wisps

You failed us we will never forgive you
