It’s essential that Rookery be a space that people feel comfortable uploading information as personal as an art collection. We take cybersecurity very seriously, and we also understand its limitations. No software is impenetrable; what doesn’t bend breaks.

We use state-of-the-art techniques across our platform’s codebase. We perform regular maintenance, use tried-and-true servers with plenty of redundancy, and employ both academic and industry experts. Our next task is to pave a more welcoming pathway for new users. Our MVP employs a manual database, where we have to enter each new user by hand. We are currently interviewing developers to build us an automated database, which we are hoping to have complete by the holidays.
