2RO073 - Temporary Instagram

I loved Instagram before Facebook purchased it. I just don’t feel comfortable producing content for this mega-conglomerate, especially if they want to charge for people to see it.

Still, hard times call for hard measures, and we decided to try a social media campaign. Covid is preventing us from interacting with people in person the way we’d planned, and we need to try other methods.

We ran the account for nine weeks, three posts per week. It was actually our second attempt at the account — the first ran over the Summer, and featured instructional videos on using Rookery. This time we posted one book, one artwork, and one Rookery Room each week. I’d just rather produce creative content for the website here instead, where we can keep tabs on it.

Or we might try again at some point at some point.
