2RO067 - Kickstarter

The pandemic upended our original strategy of organic, in-person growth: hosting weekly gatherings to share art and our Rookery archive. We decided to launch a Kickstarter in order to promote the early version of our product instead.

Though our product was in a good developmental state for crowd-funding, the social circumstances in our country made it emotionally impossible to ask our friends and family for money. This Spring and Summer were horrifying everywhere, and certainly worse in our city than in many others. We could not and did not push our fundraiser hard when so many were fundraising for essential workers and civil rights.
