2RO063 - Necker Cube

The Necker Cube is an optical illusion that represents two objects simultaneously. It’s a central symbol of American Cyborg, because it serves as a reminder that there can be two contradictory yet equally valid interpretations of one thing. (The duck-rabbit is another favorite example.)

We opted to use the Necker Cube as the inspiration for the Room view in Rookery. In addition to the conceptual reasons above, it fit our b&w aesthetic. We like how it offers structure, and suggests a 3D space, without getting in the way.
